Accredited Level 2 ContractorWhat a Level 2 electrician actually does
If an electrician has told you the job needs a Level 2, this is why. It is not a bigger version of a normal electrician. It is a different accreditation for a different part of the supply.
Network side, not house side
Level 2 covers everything between the street network and your main switchboard: the service line, the point of attachment, the private pole, the service fuse and the meter. A standard electrical licence stops at the switchboard.
Accredited, not just licensed
Only an Accredited Service Provider can legally connect, disconnect or work on that section of the supply. We hold Level 2 accreditation with Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy, so the whole job stays with one contractor.
The paperwork is ours to do
Network work has to be notified and certified. We lodge the Notification of Service Work with the network and issue your Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work, so nothing is left for you to chase.
Level 2 services we carry out
Accredited network-side work: poles, mains, metering and connections. Each one has its own page with what is involved, what it fixes and what to expect.
Disconnect & Reconnect
Temporary supply disconnection and reconnection for works or demolition.

More detailsWhen you need a Level 2, not a standard electrician
Any of these means the fault or the work sits on the network side of your switchboard. Ring us and describe what you are seeing. If it turns out to be an ordinary electrical job, we do those too, so nothing is wasted.
- No power at your place while the neighbours have theirs, and the switchboard looks fine
- A private pole that is leaning, rotting, or has been hit
- The service line to the house is sagging, damaged or too low over a driveway
- A blown or burnt service fuse, often after a storm or a big load
- A renovation, demolition or pool build that needs the supply disconnected and reconnected
- A new meter, a meter relocation, or a meter board that a retailer has flagged
- A switchboard upgrade that the existing consumer mains cannot support
- Moving from overhead to underground supply, or the reverse
